Genetic Investigations

Advanced genetic testing. Meaningful answers.

Genetic investigations can provide important information about inherited conditions, chromosome abnormalities and genetic changes that may affect a pregnancy or future children.

At The Pregnancy Clinic, we combine specialist clinical assessment with advanced genetic investigations to help identify the most appropriate test for your individual circumstances.

Whether you are planning a pregnancy, have a family history of an inherited disorder or need further assessment following an unexpected ultrasound finding, we provide expert guidance from the initial consultation through to the interpretation of results.

  • Specialist assessment
  • Advanced laboratory investigations
  • Personalised interpretation

Our consultant-led approach ensures that the potential benefits, limitations and procedural risks are explained before decisions are made.

Choosing the right genetic test

Not every patient needs extensive genetic testing. The most appropriate investigation depends on your personal history, family history, previous results and individual circumstances.

Our approach is to recommend investigations that are clinically relevant, rather than testing unnecessarily.

Expert guidance from investigation to interpretation

Genetic results can sometimes be complex, particularly when a finding is unexpected or its significance is uncertain.

We take time to explain the findings, their limitations and their potential implications for your pregnancy and future reproductive choices.
